House Committe to review Kucinich Impeachment proposal (Not!)

More from our steely spined Democrats in Congress:

Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich's single article of impeachment will get a committee hearing -- but not on removing President Bush from office.  This time, the panel will open hearings, possibly as soon as next week. But House Democratic leaders said the proceedings would not be about Bush's impeachment, a first step in the Constitution's process of a removing a president from office.

Instead, the panel will conduct an election-year review -- possibly televised -- of anything Democrats consider to be Bush's abuse of power. Kucinich, an Ohio Democrat, is likely to testify. So will several scholars and administration critics, Democrats said.  (Link)

Let me get this straight.  Dennis Kucinich will present information that, he believes, warrants impeachment of the President.  The Democrats assure us that, instead, they'll turn it into a televised, whiny litany of complaints how the President has run roughshod over theirweak, pathetic butts.  And, hey, don't worry about anyone becoming too upset....Nancy Pelosi has signaled she doesn't want the committee to even consider taking a vote on impeachment.

We deserve so much better.
