It was inevitable. Governor Palin can only recite the same stump speech so many times before folks started wanting to hear more. And now, after Charles Gibson, after Sean Hannity, after Katie Couric, even conscientious Conservatives are questioning the wisdom of having Sarah Palin as their party's nominee as vice president.
Kathleen Parker lays it out today in a short essay from The National Review:
Palin’s
recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie
Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate.
Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.
No one hates saying that more than I do. Like so many women, I’ve been
pulling for Palin, wishing her the best, hoping she will perform
brilliantly. I’ve also noticed that I watch her interviews with the
held breath of an anxious parent, my finger poised over the mute button
in case it gets too painful. Unfortunately, it often does. My cringe
reflex is exhausted.
When Couric pointed to polls showing that the financial crisis had
boosted Obama’s numbers, Palin blustered wordily: “I’m not looking at
poll numbers. What I think Americans at the end of the day are going to
be able to go back and look at track records and see who’s more apt to
be talking about solutions and wishing for and hoping for solutions for
some opportunity to change, and who’s actually done it?”
If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself.
Only
Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves. She can
bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more
time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her
family first.
Do it for your country.

What about Joe Biden- "the walking gaffe machine?"
He said that in 1929 during the stock market crash, President Roosevelt got on TV and said "Blah Blah."
Roosevelt wasn't president in 1929- Hoover was.
Amd the WAS NO TV!!!
Give me a break.
Sarah Palin has it all over Barry Hussein and his goofy side-kick-n who doesn't even known what Barry's platform is.
But that's okay- because nobody else does either.
Can't wait for the debate tonight- I have a bet on how many uhs, ums, and stammers The Anointed one will utter!

Unfortunately, and though my heart breaks to say it, but Kathleen Parker has spoken a very inconvenient truth. The wriggling discomfort that I and so many other women feel after having listened to Sarah Palin expose her unfortunate lack of preparedness to co-lead this country has now grown into full blown anxiety.
It's not enough to be photogenic and possessing of common sense - I'm afraid that Sarah will bring down the party in this go 'round.
