Lt. Col. Ralph Peters appeared on the Bill O'Reilly show last night to whine that yesterday's Fort Hood memorial service was somehow insufficient because no speaker (he's talking to you Obama) came out and declared all out war against Islam. That no sensible person has yet found that the murdering rampage by Nidal Malik Hasan was an act of terrorism (at least no more so than the Orlando and Oregon shooting sprees that happened shortly after the tragedy at Fort Hood - more about this later) didn't seem to be all that important to the colonel.
But it was Bill O'Reilly's comments that were more interesting. O'Reilly seems to have narrowed U.S. options for fighting radical Islamic jihadism down to two; either winning the hearts and minds of Muslims or killing them all. O'Reilly apparently concedes killing them all may be, uh what's the best word, impractical, so winning hearts and minds may be the only option. That O'Reilly characterized his role as the "devils advocate" implies, I guess, that killing them all may be the majority opinion.
It would seem our works cut out for us if Muslims believe peace is our objective only because we can't figure out a practical way to kill them all.

If he keeps advocating genocide, the targets might be frightened enough into killing him first. All of this advocacy of senseless slaughter needs to stop.
